History
Delta Squared Education, LLC was founded by identical twins and Newport Beach natives, Hayley and Miranda Young, who are experienced education professionals and accomplished academics and athletes.
Hayley holds a master’s degree in education from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education where she studied cognitive neuroscience applied to mathematics pedagogy. She also holds a master’s degree in management from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a bachelor’s degree with honors in chemistry from the University of California, Irvine.
Miranda holds a master’s degree in education from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education, a master’s degree in management from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Irvine, where she graduated with Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa honors.
Prior to transitioning full-time into education consulting, they worked for eight years at Duke University and UC Irvine. Miranda helped create and manage seven different master’s degrees for graduate business education. Hayley developed curricular offerings and startup incubator programming for university innovation & entrepreneurship initiatives.
As collegiate tennis players for UCI Women’s Tennis, they helped lead the team to the school’s first Big West Conference title, a top-30 national ranking, and a berth into the NCAA Division 1 Team Championships. They also received Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Academic All-American and Big West Academic All-Conference distinctions.
In their free time, they are active members of the UCI and Duke alumni networks, and have previously held board roles on the UCI Alumni Association and Women United - Orange County United Way. They are current competitive figure skaters, regionally-appointed Music Officials for U.S. Figure Skating, and serve on the board of the Los Angeles Figure Skating Club. They also enjoy Orange Theory, Pilates, running, golf, and yoga.
